Van Mourik Broekmanstraat 7-H, Amsterdam

Home buying can be a challenge, and ours was 2020!

My wife and I work in the center, so access to the city was paramount.
We looked at many houses but couldn't find a complete package until we discovered Van Mourik Broekmanstraat. Already on the day of the viewing, we felt welcome by the neighbors!

The house, though small, feels spacious with a large bedroom and a living room with open views and two separate big storage spaces in the attic. The sun comes through the kitchen in the morning and fills the garden in the afternoon.
The greatest benefit besides its proximity to Sierplein and all the exotic shops across the road is the amount of public transport available. It is the closest house to the Johan Huizingalaan tram stop 1 and 17 and beneath it lies the bus route 18, 63 and N83. Lelylaan station is a short walk making Schipol a 6 minute train ride and central station 20.
The house conveniently backs onto a large park where many families love to picnic and whichever direction you choose there is an abundance of parks to visit. Vondelpark is 10 minutes by bike and Rembrandtpark just 5. Our favourite is Sloterplas with its own beach, nature park, disc golf and petting zoo.

We adapted the plumbing to make a laundry closet and made the house feel larger by converting the adjacent storage room into a living space that can be made into a workroom, walking closet, or anything else you desire!
